【作品解説】

2019年12月、熱海のとあるプライベートスタジオにEXTRUDERSの岡田了、Klan Aileenの澁谷亮、ツバメスタジオのエンジニアである君島結の3人が集まり作られた音源がこの『OKS』である。

EXTRUDERSでの活動と並行して、ドローンアンビエント奏者としての顔も持つ岡田了は、ギターのテクスチャーコントロールと音場作りに関して卓越したセンスを持っており、Klan Aileen というデュオで、言わばギターとベースの二役を担っている澁谷亮は、独特のバランス感覚を持ってベース的なギターを引くギタリストである。そして現在レコーディングエンジニアとしてツバメスタジオを運営する君島結はそのキャリアをドラマーとしてスタートさせたマルチインストゥルメンタリストでもあり、ノイズ、実験音楽にも造詣が深い。
果たしてその三人が集まりどのような音楽を作ったのか、麻原猿女氏によるライナーノーツから引用すると、"まるでドローンからファズギターへと、ギターが楽器としてのその輪郭をバンドアンサンブルのなかで思い出していくよう”　であり、”なぜかこの音楽は、全体を通して強い形でアンサンブルへと解決していか”　ず、”エクスペリメンタル(アンチ・アンサンブル)になり切ってしまうのでもなく、ロック（アンサンブル）になり切ってしまうのでもない。ロックの向こう、それか、エクスペリメンタルの手前、そのような地点でこのセッションは執り行われ”、”アンチ・アンサンブル的関係性”　を持った音楽ということである。それは以下のような情景のサウンドトラックとしてはうってつけだろう。

　"冬の熱海で録音を終えた三人は避暑地から散り散りになっていく。しめやかに執り行われる逢い引きを遂行し、舞台を無言で去る。しかし寒空の下で霧散するまでのわずかばりの時間に棲息するある秘密がある。その秘密は全く続きがなく、全くの無駄で終わることによって維持され伝達される。ギタリストとドラマーのあいだのさりげない目配せ、極薄のコミュニケーション、細やかに配置される媚態、ドラムのテンション、エフェクターのつまみの塩梅、触れるか触れないかのあいだで身体をなぞる指先、それらの密やかな技法。"（ライナーノーツより）

In December 2019, Ryo Okada of EXTRUDERS, Ryo Shibuya of Klan Aileen, and Yui Kimijima, an engineer at Tsubame Studio, gathered in a private studio in Atami. And they recorded "OKS".

Ryo Okada, who also works as a drone ambientist in parallel with his activities with EXTRUDERS, has an excellent sense of guitar texture control and sound field creation, and Ryo Shibuya, who plays the dual role of guitar and bass in the duo Klan Aileen, with a unique sense of balance and bass-like guitar. And Yui Kimijima, who currently runs Tsubame Studio as a recording engineer, is a multi-instrumentalist who started his career as a drummer and has a deep knowledge of noise and experimental music.
To quote from the liner notes by Sarume Asahara, "It is as if the guitar recalls its contours as an instrument in a band ensemble, from drone to fuzz guitar. "Somehow the music does not resolve itself into an ensemble" and "it doesn't become experimental (anti-ensemble), nor does it become rock (ensemble). It's not going to be experimental (anti-ensemble) or rock (ensemble). The session is conducted at a point beyond rock, or before experimental" and "the music has an "anti-ensemble relationship.”
It would make a good soundtrack for the following scene.

　"After finishing the recording in Atami in winter, the three of them are dispersing from the summer resort. They carry out their solemn rendezvous and leave the stage in silence. However, there is a secret that lives only a few moments before it dissipates under the cold sky. The secret is maintained and transmitted by the fact that there is no continuation at all and it ends in utter futility. The casual glances between the guitarist and the drummer, the ultra-thin communication, the finely placed flirtations, the tension of the drums, the saltiness of the knobs, the fingertips tracing the body between touch and no touch, these subtle techniques.
